Youth Skills Camps

BUILDING SKILLS,
CONFIDENCE AND
COMMUNITY.

Weekly camps for Oceanside youth, every Tuesday at Joe Balderrama Recreation Center and Park.

The program

A PLACE TO PLAY,
LEARN AND BELONG.

The 9th Man Social Club, in partnership with Anyone Can Dream and representatives Nancy Rodriguez and Destiny Rodriguez of Joe Balderrama Recreation Center and Park, proudly presents weekly Youth Skills Camps for young people in the Oceanside community.

The camps provide a safe, positive and encouraging environment where youth can stay active, learn new skills, build confidence and develop meaningful relationships with coaches, mentors and community volunteers.

About the program

THE OCEANSIDE
FLYING DRAGONS.

ENROLL A YOUTH →

The Youth Skills Camps are part of the Oceanside Flying Dragons, the youth sports program of the 9th Man Social Club. The Flying Dragons include the Fly Boyz and Fly Girlz, giving young people opportunities to participate, grow and belong.

Each weekly session combines physical activity, sports instruction, teamwork and mentorship. Participants will learn the importance of discipline, communication, sportsmanship, responsibility and supporting one another.

Our volunteers are also available to listen, encourage and provide positive guidance when young people need someone to talk to about challenges in sports, school or everyday life.

Camp activities

WHAT A TUESDAY
LOOKS LIKE.

Activities may vary each week based on available space, equipment and the needs of participating youth.

Our mission

Use sports and recreation to bring young people, families and community organizations together — so every participant feels welcomed, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential, on and off the field.

This program reflects the 9th Man Social Club’s commitment to being more than a fan club by creating opportunities that strengthen the Oceanside community.
